Douglas Laing Introduces Limited Edition Whiskies For Year Of The Pig
Douglas Laing has joined Dewar’s in celebrating the Year of the Pig, the Chinese New Year, with a trio of limited edition single cask whiskies – a 2007 Old Particular Bunnahabhain and a 2007 Old Particular Glengoyne and a 1995 XOP Craigellachie – all were from previous Years of the Pig.
The XOP Craigellachie was bottled at 52.3% alcohol by volume [104.7 proof] and is said to contain notes of allspice, cocoa and mocha.
The Old Particular Bunnahabhain has been bottled at 54.4% alcohol by volume [108.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of citrus, honey and peat.
The Old Particular Glengoyne has been bottled at 52.5% alcohol by volume [105 proof] and is said to contain notes of barley, milk chocolate and spice.
Each is bottled at cask strength and are being made available as a set for $650 per set in Taiwan with the XOP Craigellachie being made available individually in China and Hong Kong.
