Loch Lomond Introduces 45-Year-Old
Loch Lomond Distillery has released a 45-year-old single malt whisky as their first of a planned three-part release in their Remarkable Stills Series, celebrating the distillery’s straight neck pot stills [those stills provide for a greater separation of flavors].
Loch Lomond 45 Years Old single malt whisky was initially matured in American oak casks, finished for 12 months in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask, bottled at 42.2% alcohol by volume [84.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of brown sugar, cinnamon and orange blossom.
Only a scant 200 bottles of Loch Lomond 45 Years Old single malt whisky are being made available for a whopping $4,785 per bottle.
