The Last Drop Unveils 592 bottles Of 1965 Whisky
Blended Scotch whisky from 1965 can be hard to come by and that is why it is such a big deal that there are now a few more bottles of the stuff being made available by The Last Drop Distillery. Specifically, 592 bottles of TLD’s 1965 blended Scotch whisky are being made available – although not all the grains and malts used are from that year – the original blend has grains and malts from 1965 but many are more elderly and in 1988, TLD moved some of that original blend into ex-Bourbon American oak casks for continued maturing, producing this limited edition liquid at 48.6% alcohol content [97.2 proof].
The result is a blended Scotch whisky available for $4000 per bottle [that comes in a case with its own 50ml replica taster bottle].
