Thomas Hine Releases The Cognac Hounds!
Thomas Hine has released the Domaines Hine Bonneuil 2005 cognac from their small estate near France’s Colinaud valley. The grapes come from first-growth vineyards in the chalky terroir located near the Grande Champagne area, yielding a eaux-de-vie that will be fruity in flavor. The cognac was matured in French oak casks made from trees grown in the Allier forest and weather conditions of 2005 mirrored closely that of 1953 – one of the best vintages of the last decade – boding well for the Domaines Hine Bonneuil 2005.
Bottled at 43% alcohol content [86 proof], only 9000 bottles of Domaines Hine Bonneuil 2005 were produced and will be destined for markets in France, Russia, Taiwan, UK and the USA at $125 per bottle.
