What’s New In 2016 From Wemyss?
The new year has officially arrived and bringing with it are six new single cask releases from indie bottler, Wemyss Malts. The six casks represent the traditional Scottish geographical whisky-producing areas of Speyside, Islay and The Highlands and range from 13 to 25 years old.
The full cask list consists of Sizzling Charcoal 1997 from Bunnahabhain Distillery [Islay]; Coastal Confection 1996 cask strength from Bowmore Distillery [Islay]; The Highland Mariner 1997 from Clynelish Distillery [Highlands]; Fallen Apples 1989 from Glen Garioch Distillery [Highlands]; Barrista’s Dram 2002 from Craigellachie Distillery [Speyside]; and Toasted Anise 1996 from Glenrothes Distillery [Speyside].
Only a few hundred bottles from each cask will be made available to selected markets in the UK, Europe and Asia for $80 to $155 per bottle.
