Beer And Bbq

There is nothing that I know of that goes so well with having a BBQ and enjoying a nice cold beer while doing it. Is there something that you enjoy to do while having a beer?
 
I like to eat hot dogs while having a bbq and beer day. Nothing like great hot dogs right off of the grill with a toasted bun and a nice cold one to wash it all down. It is raining outside right now and I just wish it were a hot summer night.

Don't worry apparently it's already spring but haven't seen much of it yet. It won't be long before we are in summer. I can already smell the sausages but for good measure I'll have a beer now.

Beer is great with a good burger or sausage. When watching a boxing match, it is a good drink too. And, yes, as mentioned in the OP, a BBQ wouldn't be complete without brewskis. :D
 
I enjoy drinking beer while eating and socializing... It's one of my favorite things to do. But, I tend to overeat when I'm drinking.

It's the best way to drink a beer, just drinking a beer for the sake of drinking isn't that much fun. There are people that get fuller when they drink beer but I'm like you, I eat more when I drink a beer.
 
Nothing that I suppose is worth mentioning nor safe for work. JK!!

When I wasn't out with friends, I would sometimes sip some drinks while playing video games. Then I'd pass out in my gaming chair.

Those were the days!
 
Beside BBQ with beer I also enjoy : watching football with my friends Premier League or Champions League, going to kafana and listening to some live tambourine players (kafana is a Serbian pub), I also like to drink dark beer when I go out and enjoy a nice night in the city in some café. We have a habit to drink beer on the quay playing guitar and stuff.
 
I can't have a nice BBQ without beer. I also drink beer when I'm watching a show, coupled with some snacks is a perfect way of spending the night.
 
Hanging out at the beach, camping, sitting around a fire sipping a cold one. Pretty much anything that I do in the summer goes good with a beer!! :) It is my favorite time of year.
 
It isn't a real BBQ if there isn't beer, ha ha! I love having a cold beer while sparking up the barbecue in the backyard. There is nothing better than being surrounded by family and friends, enjoying good food, and having a beer in hand-so long as it's ice cold.

Now that Sue mentions it, the idea of taking a trip to the beach and enjoying a few beers is awesome. I'd love to do this over summer vacation!

That is true beer seems to have been made for summer. I do drink beer all year round but it seems to taste better in summer.
 
A nice cold mug of beer with a steak and fries with a salad really taste great in the good old summertime. I like to cook the steak on the grill outside and have some watermelon on the side and I would choose a red ale as well to go with this wonderful meal.
 
I'm getting some pretty good ideas from this thread. Personally I'm not into having BBQs but I think it's mostly because growing up there was no one there to teach me how to do it. I do enjoy it the few times I get invited to one other places, though.
 
I used to always drink beer when I barbecued, but I have also found ice tea, wine and lemonade also make the grade as far as I'm concerned. Brew and Q do go together though.
 
Beer and BBq it's a very good combination. It's cool, it's practical, it's fast and it always offers a lot of fun. I like really this "couple"! :D
 
Beer is definitely a good match for junk food or peanuts. Any kind of finger food that's salty would compliment beer too.

I agree, mainly because they are extremely practical foods (it's easy to buy and does not need a recipe) and because they are foods that match the moment. Very good!
 
Well despite not being the biggest beer drinker out there, I have to recognize that these two just work together. Makes me excited for the 4th coming up.
