I had a BBQ yesterday and I remembered this thread. I always have a beer when ever I'm make a BBQ but always drink out of the bottle. I think there are places that drinking out of the bottle just tastes a whole lot better.

Glad to hear that, local beer always has that something else. We used to have a local beer company were I live but one of the bigger beer companies ended up buying it out and closing it. The whole brewery was dismantlement so there is no hope of it ever coming back again.

I think that it's more enjoyable to drink on the holidays then during the regular week. Like you said being around family and friends always makes a drink taste better.

Yes the smaller ice cubes seem to melt way too quickly and water down the whiskey. This ice doesn't melt so quickly and it still will chill the whiskey.

It does sound good after all they use whiskey to flavor food they might as well use food to flavor whiskey.

More often then not it's not just the beer that causes the beer gut but it's the sort of food that beer likes to keep company. More often then not it's fatty food.

No I haven't I have been drinking pretty much the same thing that I usually do, but I think it's time for a change. There are some Irish whiskeys that I wouldn't mind giving a try.

I think it's got a lot to do with the way the Japanese approach things. They brake things down to their essential parts and perfect them. If there would be more whiskey makers in Japan their whiskey would be more distributed and better known.

There are some fruit drinks out there that were clearly thought for women a cosmo as you mentioned is one of them. If they had to serve it in a plane glass I think guys would try it.

I think that you will like it. It doesn't have to particularly good wine so that's a bonus, but be careful it's easy to drink but still has the alcohol content.

I still haven't found it but there are still a couple of stores that I have to go to. The selection of foreign beer has reduced slightly and what they are pushing now is ciders, but there are some stores that I know that might have it but I haven't been to that side of town lately.

I agree with @FuZyOn, it really doesn't matter whether it's good or not just as long as people know how expensive it is. Very often it's not worth the money they are asking for it but just as long as other people recognize it there will always be someone buying it to show off.

That is the main reason I prefer bottles to cans. I enjoy drinking both out of a bottle or a glass but not a big fan of drinking out of a can.

Have you tried a sangria with sparkling wine. It's really good on a hot day. or better yet on a very hot day
