A lot of people here on this thread are saying that they prefer older whiskies but are drinking the younger ones because of financial constraints - reminds me of something my gran used to tell me: 'When times are tough, the solution is not to cut back but to make more money!":D

I don't know what the 'experts' would say, but I drink neat whisky almost every day and I don't think it has any negative effect on me. I only have a shot or two to relax after work so maybe the volume isn't enough to make a big difference.

I do it all the time, especially in winter. I don't know why but it seems to taste much, much better when it's cold outside. LOL> But seriously, I find the drink so soothing that I'm starting to find plain coffee a little boring...
