Yep, if you don't try to talk to women you're never going to get one. No matter how ugly or unnatractive you think you are, you need to put yourself out there until the right person comes around.

I don't smoke cigarettes, only cigars, so I'm a passive smoker for a lot of time spent in pubs and with my friends. The smoke doesn't bother me personally, I can stand it just fine.

Finding new people to hang out with. When I went to college I had to move cities, and going to pubs was a good way of finding people I have things in common with. It's a good way to make friends.

I'm not really sure about the health benefits of drinking beer. I think it definitely contains some vitamins and you can also kind of moderate the alcohol content, but not too sure about the rest.

@AlexZ made some good points. Simply put, wine used to be a drink that only the royals and rich had access to, while middle and lower class men and women never drank anything richer than cheap beer. They say wine is the drink of a king.

Well, cigars smell too, but they have a much better smell. While cigarettes reek of nicotine and cheap tobacco a fine cigar smells royally, almost like a rich perfume. I like how my house smells after a quality cigar.

Casual clothes, going to a pub means you should be laid back and enjoy the experience instead of going in a suit and looking formal. I like wearing jeans and hoodies around this time of the year.

Well, doctors have studied and come to the conclusion that wine is actually healthy for your body, they recommend drinking a glass once every couple of days. From what I've read it helps a lot with blood fluidity.

Cigars are no doubt harmful, but I doubt smoking a few per week would actually cause me a lot of harm. Even in the worst case scenario, I think it's a good trade-off since I get to improve my mental health by winding down.

It depends on what bourbon you're having, but most of the time I don't feel the need to add water since the brands I drink are distilled enough. It's a neat trick though.

Haven't heard the word craft beer in a while, so I think hipsters are coming around to start drinking it, haha. Some of the hipsters I know still use those hats with two beer cans, which is funny to me.

Well, us alcohol drinkers have to keep gum handy for situations like these. I've gone through so many packets just because I like to drink a lot (responsibly, of course :P).
