I've been thinking about trying some pineapple and apple juice with vodka, I haven't seen something like this even when I was going to the tropical places here in Romania, should be an interesting mix.
I think the worst cigar I ever smoked was when I ordered a cheap brand online, I didn't have high expectations but the taste was just awful, it tasted like ashes in my mouth. I eventually threw the whole pack away.
I love to drink whisky with ice cubes from time to time, especially at nights in the summer when it's warm outside. I think that a big ice cube looks unflattering though, I would much rather see a few smaller ones than a big one.
I haven't ever had a craft soda, I only tried craft beers and those are delicious. Not a lot of pubs here in Romania have them, I'd love to try some in the near future. Tell us if you liked the soda or not! :D
Well our National day is on 1st of December, usually it's cold so people go the traditional route and get wasted drinking Palinca and Tuica, pretty common especially on the country side. We also have a national free day on the 1st of May and people usually get drunk drinking beer and going to...
Ha, I wish they had a name for "middle-line" beers, Timisoreana and Ursus are just the names of the companies that produce them. I agree that no one enjoys a cheap beer, I wouldn't drink it even if I had nothing else to at a party.
I definitely relate to this, back when I was a teenager I was all about drinking vodka combined with coke or orange juice, I was probably a little addicted. Now that I got a little older I'm going lighter on the alcohol, I've learned to control myself.
I don't go with the cheapest but not with the most expensive choice either, I go down the middle with something that tastes pretty good but is still somewhat cheap. Those beers are called Ursus or Timisoreana here in Romania.
You get tipsy really quick, I'll tell you that. I probably have low immunity but after a couple of absinth shots I'm already buzzing, it's pretty strong. :P
Yeah, bars that give you discounted rides home would probably be really popular, although no one's stopping you from taking an Uber since they're everywhere or even picking up a cab, oldschool style.
I wasn't prepared yesterday because I don't celebrate the 4th of July, but I did drink a couple of Coronas for you American peeps out here. Happy belated birthday! :P
Yeah, craft beer would be a waste indeed. I figured you used light beer because dark beer wouldn't go well probably. I guess if you like it then good for you. :P
Also, do you use Coke Zero for the mix? I imagine the added sugar isn't the best.
Yeah, I'm familiar with panaches since they're usually sold here in Constanta at the beach, people love them especially since those don't contain a lot of alcohol, it's good if you still want to drive home but you're thirsty. :P
Absinth is quite an interesting drink, too strong for my tastes so I don't drink it that much. Even here in Europe it's hard to get a hold of, I haven't seen a lot of stores that have it in stock.
Drink a lot of water before you go to bed, that's the easiest way of easing your hangover. Here in Romania we drink cabbage juice and that cures a hangover totally, try it out if you have cabbage nearby. :D
I play guitar quite a lot and... I don't know if it helps my creativity that much. There are days when I'm tipsy and I pick up the guitar and I don't even remember the chords while there are days when I'm drunk and I can create some new riffs or chord progressions. I guess it depends but I guess...
I don't drink coffee anymore but I used to "Irish up" my coffee in the past, but only when I didn't have work later that day. Waking up to a "Irished up" coffee in the weekend made me look forward to the mornings actually. :P
I love them as well, especially when you're on a tropical trip and you're craving a Pinacolada, it's really good. Alcohol mixed with fruit in general is quite tasty if you find the right mix, people on tropical islands know what they're doing. :D
