Does Your Family Drink Whisky Too?

Me and my girlfriend drink whisky a lot, probably more than we should. :p My family isn't that interested in it though, they'd rather drink beer or wine.
 
My family only drinks whisky at holiday parties. I once gave my brother in law a bottle of Moonshine for Christmas. I guess he drank it..I know my sister didn't. She is not into booze at all! I doubt she has drank more than a wine cooler in her whole life!

What's weird about me is that at one point I was like your sister, I didn't enjoy drinking at all, I didn't like the taste. I don't know if it's because I grew up but something changed and I now enjoy the taste of alcohol more than ever.
 
My family does not drink very often and I think it's due to alcoholism running in our family. We lost a family member years ago to a drunk driving accident, so I think that might be the reasoning they steer clear. My step father loves a nice wine on occasion though. He also enjoys scotch, but it has to be the "good stuff" in order to get him to drink it.
My fiance is more of a beer drinker. He enjoys craft beer and will usually reach for an IPA overall.
