It Would Have To Be

I have not been to the old henry ford`s in Portland, but in Amsterdam there are many good pubs. I was there in Christmas and really enjoyed that city.

Not really familiar with that one but here in Romania, Bucharest we have a lot of night clubs, some of them are also restaurants which outclass a lot of bars from other countries. We're known for the night life here.

I would love to go to a place that is known for the night life. We don't have much of a night life around here. There are a few good places but nothing that really stands out or makes it any different from a lot of other bars around.

Where do you live? There surely must be a club where the atmosphere is unique, every city has one! :p In Europe the night life is amazing.

I like in eastern Canada and there is nothing here when it comes to night life. The closest thing you would get to one is probably in Montreal which is 9-10 hour drive from here. We have nothing. There use to be some awesome ones a few years back but they all seem to have closed up.

Ooh, Canada.. I understand now! You guys aren't that recognized for the night life, but at least you have maple syrup! :p Canada calmed down over the years.

Yes that we do have and plenty of it. We also have awesome beer and hockey! We are pretty easy going and laid back here. We are known more in this area for the kitchen parties and beach parties more so then the club scene.

I'm not too sure about the topic at hand. Do you want us to discuss better bars in the portland area than Old Henry Ford's, or is this an appreciation thread for the place? As an Atlanta native who has never been further north than Boston, I can't quite have a say on the matter.

As long as the kitchen and beach parties have good drinks, I would be more than happy to go to Canada for it! It's probably a good thing I can easily reach you guys in a matter of hours~

Oh they always do..there is never a shortage of drinks to choose from at our parties!! The more the merrier!! :)

I think my favorite spot would have to be where there is an open bar, good people, great music and a good vibe. I have been to places where the whisky was good, but the music was bad and it ruined my experience.

the best combo bar/restaurant in the world to beat the old henry ford's in portland...
I have never been there, but I was in Portland once. The place I want to go is the Red Rock Grill in Centreville VA they have 100 types of Tequilla. I didn't even know there were 100 kinds of Tequilla.

I love watching canadian hockey, sadly I never got to go to a match. I would love to, in the future. :D This sport is immense in Canada.

Well if you're ever in Canada give me a shout and I will take you to a game! :)

I personally would prefer a good beer garden over a night club anyway. Brooklyn has a few fun ones. I much rather sit and talk with friends over local craft beer as opposed to a loud sweaty club.

I live in a rural area here, and not much is hoppin that is for sure. Maybe Tim's but that is a half hour drive from here and not any street lights, so is kind of hairy, getting their and back.

Yes it seems Tim's is always a great local hangout. We have one on every corner here and they are always full. People love their Tim's that is for sure. No matter how big or how small a place is there will always be a Tim's open up!
