The Balvenie 50 single malt Scotch whisky has been bottled and will go on sale – but that sale is not expected to last long as only 131 bottles of the whisky are available worldwide [15 of them in the USA]. The Balvenie 50 comes from the Scottish distillery’s cask sealed in 1963 and recently opened to reveal a 45.4% alcohol content [90.8 proof] whisky that is said to have spicy, ginger and nutmeg-influenced notes.
The 131 bottles of The Balvenie 50 are available for $38,000 per bottle.
