I had seen this short video a short time ago and since the topic was brought up again by @kgord I decided to share it with you all.
I hope you enjoy.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I can see now why Japan has the reputation they have for whisky making.

Sometimes I talk to my friends and I'm always taken aback by the fact that they don't know how important Japan are when it comes to whiskey, they're the pioneers of this drink in my opinion.

The Japanese do many things better I think. They really commit to their manufacturing, and almost everything they do, they seem to be extremely dedicated to all of their undertakings. The fact that they end up with a superior product is not really a surprise.

I remember watching them building up everything after the tragic earthquake in 2011, Japanese people are really passionate about their country and they work hard. Their passions follows through everytime.

I think it's got a lot to do with the way the Japanese approach things. They brake things down to their essential parts and perfect them. If there would be more whiskey makers in Japan their whiskey would be more distributed and better known.

Until I read this thread it was news to me that Japan is such a big whiskey maker. Who would have thought? Very interesting video, thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for this revelation. I had no idea that Japan was a reputable distiller of whiskey. I had previously considered that great whiskey was distilled mainly in Scotland and Ireland.
