Midleton Very Rare Celebrates Bicentenary With Newest Release
Midleton Very Rare has released their annual vintage Irish single pot still whiskey to celebrate the Old Midleton Distillery’s bicentenary, which had been open from 1825 to 1975 before production moved to a newer distillery within the same site in County Cork, Ireland.
Midleton Very Rare is a blend of Irish single pot still and single grain whiskies using varied distillate styles as the whiskey contains three grain whiskies – Midleton’s signature grain whiskey, a 22-year-old grain whiskey made with barley and malted barley and a 21-year-old grain whiskey – combined with a pot still whiskey matured in first-fill barrels, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to impart notes of cinnamon, citrus and vanilla.
The Midleton Very Rare 2025 is being made available in Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Northern Ireland, USA and global travel retail for $350 per bottle.
