Beer Prices Around The Country.

Just wondering what typical prices were in your area. In the Piedmont of NC you can typically get a bottle of domestic for around $3 and a draft craft for around $5-6.

I've heard a few people mention that the drinks were significantly cheaper in this area, but I've been all over the country and never really noticed anything too drastic.

In Portugal, beer is actually pretty cheap, you usually pay 1 euro for a full cup. And a lot of times, you'll be able to find places selling cups for 0,50 euros!

Wowza. Do the prices vary significantly with quality? Or do you find that prices are generally low all around?

Here in the East Coast of Canada beer is quite expensive. To buy a domestic beer at a bar it will cost you $5-$6 depending what bar it is.

In Romania you can get 1.5L of good beer with 1 euro, so I'd say if you're coming from a big country with a high capital/person you're gonna drink a lot here. :D

Looks like I'll be visiting Romania, it's actually been on the places that I've wanted to visit list for a while now. How are other prices? The cost of living and whatnot?

I've heard that drinks are super cheap outside of USA. It's more expensive in America because the bar owners want to make way more money.

Think about it, $4-6 for a bottle of Bud Lite at a beach bar. That's $144 they make on a case that they probably paid $20 for.

That's straight up greedy as hell! They would still triple their money charging $3 per bottle.

Everything is pretty cheap here, that's the case with most of the eastern European countries, the cost of living is low as well, you could live like a king in Bucharest with 1k$/month.

Nothing is cheap when you have no money. It really doesn't make any sense to go with numbers if we do not know what are the wages in the area. Anyway, in Serbia a half-litre, normal glass bottle of good beer is around 70 cents. However a glass of that same beer in a club goes to 1.5 Euros. We also have 2 litre bottles and the come cheaper but they are plastic so I do not recommend that solution. It sounds cheap but if you take that your monthly payment here would be around 200 Euros, with all the bills and food you have to buy...Well, it is not that cheap.

I rarely drink at bars but do drink beer a lot at home. I buy Lost Lake Light at my local liquor store, it's almost $15 for a 30 pack.

Domestic beer is around $6, hard ciders $6 to $7 and the same goes for foreign beers here in Los Angeles. That is a pretty affordable estimate and usually during happy hour too because that is the only time I go out to drink in this town. A mixed drink can easily cost $17 here.
