Not only that but there are a lot of people that don't smoke cigars as often as they would cigarettes, so they inhale as much smoke, but as you said it does affect other parts of your body. There is no such thing as completely safe tobacco. On the other hand, the average cigar smoker enjoys far less smokes than cigarette smokers and they don't inhale into their lungs. The tongue, mouth, and related, however, are exposed to the deleterious effects. Personally, I don't cigarettes nor want to, but an occasional cigar is not the end of the world. IMHO, of course, I'm no doctor.![]()
I agree, cigarettes might have stayed with all the bad rep but all tobacco derivatives are carcinogenic.I would imagine that cigars are equal, if not more dangerous than cigarettes. Cigars are fairly big and produce a ton of smoke. I know that you may not be likely to develop lung cancer from cigars, but you are definitely at risk for cancer of the mouth. I'd like to think that this is just as bad as any form of cancer. Personally, I don't think any form of cancer is a good sign.
