Beers And Pubs

Does anyone feel like beers are seen as a more "appropriate" drink when you go to a bar or pub? Seems like everyone is enjoying a beer with their friends, but you rarely see people drink whisky or wine.
I think it is all because of its price and quantity of each serving that is given . Beer is no doubt cheap and the amount served is also more compared to a single peg if whisky.

I think one of the main reasons why beer seem to be the most common drink in pubs because it's more affordable when compared to other drinks like Whisky or wine. Whiskey for example is looked at by some as special drink which they may likened to VIPs.

A "bar" or a "pub" is always the most appropriate / coolest place to have a beer. :)

I'm not against consuming beer at other places, but I really think that a "bar" or a "pub" has the necessary essence / identity that is fully associable with the image accompanying the beer.
