Do You Like Flavored Beer?

Where are you from? They just expanded their sales to the Chicago area! There are other ales that are similar. I will see if I can find the names of them. Although, they are more black pepper flavored than jalapeno pepper.

I am in Eastern Canada. It isn't available here! :(

I think that I am definitely a fan of Angry Orchard hard ciders and other drinks like it. When it comes down to it aren't many the only other sweet flavored beet drink I've had that I can remember was some Hard root beer that was given to me on Halloween. I definitely liked it and I took a a couple cases home with me for the next day.

I just recently read about Hard Root Beer somewhere here on the forum. I am going to go pick me up some for the weekend. It sounds like it would be really good!

I'm not a big fan of flavored beer,I have had few but they didn't blow me away, I like the things to taste like what they are. I like cider a lot, so if I had a choice between apple flavored beer and cider I would think twice and have the cider.

God, no. I can't stand flavored beer. If someone else is hip to it, that is all well and good, but no thanks for me. Last year someone brought pumpkin-flavored beer to an office party. I got about a ¼ of the way through the bottle before dumping it down ye olde drain. Yuck.

I don't think that I've ever had a flavored beer that I've enjoyed. Actually, thinking back, I don't think I've had one that I haven't despised. I remember someone telling me that Abita Purple Haze was the best thing since sliced bread and then as soon as I tried it, I regretted it.

Wait, no. There's a beet beer out of Asheville's Wicked Weed brewery that's quite nice. And I'm seeing that some of you are mentioning a jalapeño beer - also sounds nice. Maybe it's just the fruity ones that tend to be repulsive.

Ah, pumpkin beers can be such a nightmare. Even the thought, gag.

Noooo! There are some good ones out there! I do agree that many are terrible, but find the right balance between spice and pumpkin flavor and they can be excellent!

One of my friends who is a brew-master once said "The best way to enjoy a pumpkin beer is to throw it in the trash" Can't say I agree, but it's funny!

LOL That's a great quote. I have thought that abouthe a few beers I have tasted over the yeat. I also heard somebody say "My favorite beer is a free beer." lol but that's not always the case either depending on the beer.

Pumpkin flavored beer!!! What will they think of next?
There are certain things that just don't mix and that is one of them.

Yep! Most of all I enjoy the one with lemon and tequila. Unless it's strong, of course. Otherwise, it's more of a lemonade than a beer.
