Favourite Local Or Not So Famous Beer ?

Ok, we heard about Heineken, Amstel, Stella Artois,etc.. Do you have some local and not so famous brands that have a trademark of a cult in your country. For example i never buy any foreign brand except Pilsner Urquell which is the best pils ever, but we do not have it in my town so i only buy domestic ones. Two reasons for that all of them are cheaper and some of them are better then foreign. We have snobbish people here who like to pay double price just to be seen with some expensive beer but the truth is Serbia has very good ingredients for beer and most important one is the best. Water. So i will give you a hint of what i meant to share with this thread.
Zaječarsko beer is one of the most sold brands in my country. The brewery was founded in 1875 and it is working since that period. It is light beer and it has bitter taste but just enough. The city where it is made is Zaječar.

You can see it has a vintage look. This is the old bottle and they stick with it even though most of the leading brands have those fancy Heineken style bottles. Regardless of that they sell more then rest of them.

Well maybe it's because I'm from Oregon but I am a crazy fan of microbrews! Therefore, I really couldn't get into bottled beer, I'd much prefer beers on tap, and take them home in a growler!

There are some amazing logo and growler designs now lately… but, still I'd rather buy based on taste than design!

Yeah, and the one that has been making massive headlines here around the general Richmond area is Gingerbread Stout. All the hype got to me and I had to try it. It was pretty good...I enjoyed it..however, I am not sure it rates the relatively high price tag you pay per bottle.

Here two beers that are well known in the area but not known all over are Alpine which is brewed and sold in this region only and Moosehead. Both products are brewed by Moosehead Breweries. Moorhead can be bought across the country and is exported to the USA.

The Gingerbread Stout sounds really good. Oh would like to give it a try.

Well, my favorite beers are the ones from Romania. The lesser known ones are Timisoreana or Ursus, my favorites!

I live in the Midwest on the Mississippi River and there are breweries at every turn. My favorite brewery is probably Bent River Brewing company. They make everything from IPAs to ales to stouts. They are fantastic. If you are ever in the Quad Cities area, you need to look up Bent River Brewing.

I live in Portugal.
It's a really small country but there's lot's of options as far as locally produced beers.
They are also quite good I must say...

Can't go wrong with this one.
It's a pale lager being produced since 1927.

Honorable Mentions:

Maldita

It's a handcrafted barley wine.
The name means "Damned".

Sovina

Another handcrafted beer.
They have all kinds of brews.

Some of the better beers in the states that sell pretty good are -and have that craft beer style to them are Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and also Blue Moon Belgian Ale which seem to be some of the most popular ones and best selling as well.

That bottle of Maldita looks quite appealing, and I am not sure I have ever heard of that. Sometimes the looks alone is enough for me though.

I tend to drink only the commercial beers available, so so far I don't have a favorite local beer yet.

Lager beer is our choice more because we do not have much of a choice where I live. While others have it neat I prefer a shandy mostly with home made fruit juices - cherry juice is my choice.

My favorite beer from the Philippines is Red Horse. It has a very affordable price. Red Horse is a beer with a distinctive sweetish taste balanced by a smooth bitterness and a strong alcohol kick.
