Passive Smoking

How often do you welcome becoming a passive smoker especially if you are a non smoker. Personally I don't smoke and cannot tolerate smoke as well. I don't like people smoking around me.

Can you tolerate passive smoking?

Another way I'm looking at passive smoking is just being around in the room or environment where there is heavy smoking. Smoke and particles from the cigarette and others get to the non smoker passively so long he is in that environment.

I don't smoke cigarettes, only cigars, so I'm a passive smoker for a lot of time spent in pubs and with my friends. The smoke doesn't bother me personally, I can stand it just fine.

I gathered passive smoking is as dangerous if not more dangerous than the out right smoking. I don't get the chemistry behind this. Whether the nicotine has more effect on the non smoker is what I'm yet to understand here.

Active smoking and passive smoking....it is both that I cannot stand. The smell of smoke makes me end up in a bad nausea. This is the main reason I prefer to stay away from smokers . It is very frequent to gently ask the smokers to smoke away from me .

They might feel good or bad about it but it is something that I cannot tolerate at all.

I can understand how it can be confusing since they're the ones who are in constant contact with the smoke, but several studies have shown that you will be more exposed to nicotine as a passive smoker rather than an active one.

True...I agree . Passive smoking is equally lethal. I simply cannot stand smoke and prefer to walk away from the smokers. They might feel bad about it but this is something which I cannot stand at all.

Yes it is and the worst thing about it is that there are a lot of people who are not knowledgeable of how of negative impact it has on their health and well-being.

It is pretty crazy how much we have changed our ways about smoking and what we allow, but it seems that there will always be people who state that it is their right and all of that.

Yeah, it is definitely worrying that as a society we're being forced to accept things that have a negative impact either on our mental or physical health just so we can fit in.

Such things happen because in the society there are many who favor this and only a few who will oppose things that can prove detrimental for their health and that too because of others. I wish some day everyone becomes aware and smoking gets strictly allowed only in the smoking areas and not anywhere else.

And there are many a s well who know the ill effects on this bad habit on their body and still keep doing it. It is the strong nicotine addiction that forces them to do so. It blocks their power of reasoning and thinking.

Some persons will proudly tell you I don't smoke but such persons easily hang out with smokers. And when the smoker friend smokes he knowingly or unknowingly passively picks up the nicotine. This is very harmful to the non smoker's health too.

I used to smoke, but I eventually just lost interest in smoking as I got older, maybe partly because I also don't hang out with the people that I used to know that also smokes. When my brother was still living here at home, I got to smell 2nd hand smoke quite often, and it made me feel "toxic" plus the smell, I can barely stand it. Now that he has moved out, thank God I don't have to deal with the smoke and smell any longer.

Even though i don't have much knowledge on this subject, i gathered a bit of information after doing some research and i was shocked how much of an impact passive smoking has on your health.

You are correct, I even learn that passive smoking maybe more harmful than the outright smoking. This one reason good to stay clear from smokers especially if you aren't one.

It's easier said then done, since sometimes some people are so inconsiderate to their surroundings that confronting them about smoking can escalate quite badly.

I have never smoked in my life and don't want do so.I hate the smoke arising from the cigarettes. It is more dangerous for a life of happy and prosperous person.I don't want to tolerate the smokers around me.Because I believe that smoking is too injurious to health.

Some of my good friends are all smokers and I am usually in the place they smoke. Those that make me a passive smoker?

I don't smoke and I hate cigarette smoke but I guess I can tolerate it if I have to. Rolled marijuana (joint) smells even worse though, some of my acquaintances like to smoke that and I don't know how they can stand it.
