Songs That Make You Think Of Beer And Drinking It?

I was thinking of songs from your region, where ever you are. I understand that people from different parts of the world have different kinds of triggers for everything, different emotions, different taste in music. I do love some English/American/ Canadian (especially Canadian) songs but it is hard to feel the need to have a beer or two when you listen to Stones or Bob Dylan. I find Leonard Cohen's songs in the mood for beer and drinking in general but he is an exception. I will leave a song or two that I like to listen when I drink or vice versa.

On top of my head, of course :) It is too much to translate but they are about love.
 
There's a German metal band called Tankard. Their name stands for a mug. They have tons of songs about drinking. It's basically the main topic of the lyrics they write.
 
I love drinking beer and listening to country music. It's hard to think of just one song but so many country songs are about drinking beer and bullshitting with friends.
 
I used to like listening to Sublime and drinking and occasionally partaking in a little green, but now I like listening to chill and mellow artists like Grimes and Mum or Haim.

ohh I have good memories of Sublime. We had a great weekend at the beach with some friends and one guy from California would play sublime from his phone while we were sitting in the sand, enjoying the sun and some cold beer. Good times.
 
There is this new song that just came out recently called Beer Weather. It is a country song but it is very catchy and fun. I see it being played at a lot of parties this summer.
 
This song always makes me want to grab a cold one and watch a TV show, I don't know why! :D
 
HA what about 100 bottle of beer on the wall? the ultimate drinking song...Alot of country music is about beer. Or songs like Garth Brooks Friends in Low Places...reminds me of drinking.
 
The first song that came to my mind is from a band that I really like. It's called "Cheap Beer" by "FIDLAR". Great song and great band!
 
I remember hearing German country music that they play in the October beer fest. It does seem to make you want to grab a mug and join in the fun.
 
One of my favorite songs is by a punk band called Against Me. The song is called "Pints of Guinness Make You Strong." It's an awesome song and always makes me want to drink a few beers. The song has a great storyline as well.

Well I'm glad they stuck with that and didn't end up using Arthur Guinness's first slogan. When Arthur Guinness started becoming bigger he realized that he had to come up with a slogan for his beer. After contracting some pro's and not really being happy with the result he decided to do it himself. So he grabbed a crate of beers to get in the mood and locked himself away. The next day after burning the midnight oil he presented the board with his slogan.

"Guinness makes you drunk"

Hahaha, it ended up not being used.
 
My favorite song this year is Beer Weather. It a great, beer drinking, summer song!

 
Leonard Cohen is great drinking music for sure. ReHab is a great drinking band too. I prefer the most to drink to reggae, but I am in the minority since most reggae people I know prefer to smoke than drink.
 
I like a lot of the Irish music,like they use to play on NPR radio on sunday evening and it was a mix of Irish and Scottish music,and they called it celtic music. Its a very relaxing kind of roots music,but also it had a very modern sound to it as well. This is the kind of music I would like to hear in a pub as well,but also I like the Irish band the Corrs,and Enya is pretty good also.
 
'Born Slippy' by a band called Underworld is a good beer drinking song, and while it's catchy and a good song anyway (taken form the Trainspotting film, I think), the fact that it contains the lyrics 'shouting lager, lager, lager, shouting, lager, lager, lager...kind of makes it a perfect drinking song for me anyway!

If you haven't heard the song then I do recommend you go and have a listen, although it might not be to everyone's taste, it IS a classic...well, over here in the UK it is anyway!
 
I once had a friend who would always play those Irish drinking songs, so anytime anything close to that is on I immediately think of drinking beer. Good times back then.
 
I am beginning to think that some cool Irish songs may just be a good match for drinking beer. I really do not have a favorite song I'd prefer when I am ready to getting beer.
