What Is Your Beer Preference Dark, Light Or Amber?

I personally would have to go with an amber beer. Dark beers, although I like them, can be a bit harsh or overpowering. Light beers to me are usually a bit on the watery side. I like amber because it is a nice cross between the two of them. I like most beers. I can't think of any I have ever really fallen in love with...

I am a beer drinker and enjoy most of it. I do drink light beer occasionally but I don't care for the watered down taste. I like a lager beer. The dark beers have a very strong taste so you really have to be in the mood for them. I like a strong beer but there is a time and a place for it. The amber beers are my favorite.

Personally, I don't like the dark beers. They are just too much for me. I have friends that drink them and are always trying new ones. Each time, they insist I try the newest one. I give it a shot, because who knows, maybe I will like one someday? But I stick to the ambers and the lights.

I don't have any problems with light or amber beers, but I really hate the taste of amber beers. Not a fan of them.

I like amber beers and pale ales. I want a light crisp beer that is refreshing and reminds me of summer. I just want summer in a bottle!

So many different types that I enjoy and of course some are good for a warm summer day while others are better for sitting in a pub watching sports. So it really depends on why I'm having that beer... I'm not a fan of pale ale but apart from that most beers have a way of finding themselves in my hand.

I think I have mentioned this on here before, but the big beer in this area is Gingerbread Stout,,,available for the holidays. It has real ginger in the brewing process, and it is a very nice dark beer...however..10.00 for a bottle seems a bit much..Large bottle but still...maybe it just seems high to me. I paid more than that actually,

I just drink dark and light. Usually I prefer pills light but recently I tried dark draught beer. I especially liked Nikšićko beer. It is from Montenegro and it has such a nice flavour and soothing taste that I think I will have it regularly for some time. Few days ago I was out with a friend and she asked for that one so I said, 'OK, I'll have what she is having.'. To be clear, I drank it before but I believe they made some changes or my receptors changed. Either way it is great.

I don't really like dark beer since it leaves a heavy aftertaste when I'm drinking and I can't really find good dark beer that doesn't rape my wallet. Light Beer is good since I can have it with food and it doesn't alter my taste buds too much after I drink it. Of course, it tastes even better when it is chilled...

I would really like to try this Gingerbread Stout that you speak of. I bet it would be really good and nice and festive too. :)

I think there were quite a few Holiday beers out. My brotherinlaw gave me Rudolph's ale...which was an ale with cinnamon in it. I really liked that. It had a very festive can as well. I think collectors would like to add it to the collection.

I started out as a light beer drinker, the more like water the better :) But the older I've gotten and the more I've gotten to like beer, I'm drifting towards the hoppy beers. My favorite is a very hoppy IPA. I know not everyone likes the hops, but I love it!!!

I remember myself being a small kid and having an aunt giving me to sip her beer... it was a Corona beer and it was so bitter to my childish taste!

Who would then imagine that I would end up loving dark beer, specially German brewed.

Blonde and Amber are certainly the same kind, but different names given to it... There was a beer called Superior Blonde, which I remember to have taste with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon. It tasted good!

Dark beer is my favorite. I love porters and stouts. In the Quad Cities area, there are a few breweries that specialize in stouts. Coffee stouts, blueberry stout, chocolate stout and porter, gingerbread stout. I can't stand to drink much else that doesn't have a heavy flavor. I do like ales also, but they usually need to have an accompanying flavor like chocolate or fruit.

I've got to give you credit for liking a strong hop flavor. I keep trying, but my taste buds disagree every time!

It really comes down to what season it is. In summer I prefer lighter beers, but in winter I prefer something with a fuller flavor like dark beers.

Do you ever have Leinenkeugel? That's summer in a bottle! Personally, I think the most refreshing beer is just a simple Yuengling - nothing beats a cold one in a glass bottle.

Sometimes I like the light, sometimes I feel more like drinking the one that's a bit darker. The most important lesson here is: don't, under no circumstances, mix them. That's the worst thing you could possibly do.
