Flavored Whiskey.

There are some new flavored whiskey's getting onto the the market. I haven't had any yet and I don't know if I really want to. Has anyone had these and what was it like?

I would be interested in seeing answers as well. If you don't mind me asking, what are some of the flavors?

I wouldn't mind tasting a flavored whisky, but it all depends on what kind of flavor is infused. I have had the "fireball" whisky and it was okay. It's a bit over powering and is meant to be taken as a shot. Taking whisky as a shot isn't very appealing to me. I love putting my whisky in a glass with a single ice cube. I'd imagine that flavored whisky isn't very good when drinking a traditional glass with ice. I'd be willing to give them a try, but I can't promise I'd enjoy them.

They use ginger, honey, mint, chipotle and peach among others flavors but I haven't had any of them.

I agree, I don't like the idea of having whiskey as a shot. I think the two don't go hand in hand, I much prefer to drink it slowly.

I think the idea of flavored whiskey's is interesting. After all Vodka comes in many different flavors, although with Vodka it is so bland by itself it really needs something to flavor it. Also, Spiced rum is very popular, so why not a flavored whisky?

I've drank some apple pie flavored whiskey and it was pretty damn good! But. I don't think flavored whiskeys are something knew. They've been around for a while.

Hmm.. chipotle whisky, now that's an interesting one! I'm want to try out peach or apple whisky but I don't think they sell it in Romania. :(

I don't think these whiskeys are that popular or that well known outside of the US. Most of the flavored whiskey tends to be made there.

I'm a 'try everything once' kind of girl, so I say bring them! You never know, maybe they are really good and you may end up liking them.

The only one I've had is Fireball and I use to love it but lately I can't seem to doing shots of it. I find it really overpowering and upsets my stomach. I haven't seen noticed any flavored whiskys at the local liquor store so I will have to look the next time I'm in. I have tried the various flavored vodkas and I do enjoy them with the right mix.

It does sound good after all they use whiskey to flavor food they might as well use food to flavor whiskey.

I've only tried two different flavoured whiskey's. The ginger whiskey I didn't enough in the slightest but that is to be expected since I am really not a fan of ginger but thought I would give it a go. Won't do that again. The second one I have tried is honey, this one I actually liked. It had a smooth slightly sweet taste and just added that little something extra without completely masking the taste of whiskey. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have had the Fireball and the Honey Jack Daniels. Both of them were really good! I was surprised because I usually don't like flavored whiskey, but these two were pretty tasty. The honey JD was smooth and it took the sting out. I would buy it a second time.

I'm not sure I ever had it. Well, by flavored if you mean the whisky itself being flavored, rather than a mixed drink that includes whisky. I'd have to try it out first.

When it comes to whiskey and other liquor, I prefer to just have it straight. Give me a fancy glass and some ice and I am a happy man. The last thing that I really need is strawberry or pomegranate in my whiskey, although now that I think about a little orange flavor might be interesting. Interesting stuff, and thanks for sharing.

I wonder what it is flavored with. Most people drink whiskey for the state. It seems like it would be counterproductive to have flavoring. I personally think that should be left to vodka actually. Some of the flavored vodka's are very good.

I’m gеnеrаlly nоt а fаn оf flаvоrеd whiskiеs, but I guеss it соmеs dоwn tо hоw yоu plаn tо drink it. Strаight, I hаvе yеt tо tаstе аny сhеrry flаvоrеd whiskеy thаt I’d drink. аs fаr аs mixеrs gо, Jim Bеаm’s Rеd Stаg is drinkаblе аnd inеxpеnsivе.

This is something I'm completely unaware of. I have not seen or heard anything like this.

But if I come across anything like this I will try it for sure.

I think it depends on how strong the flavoring is, at least for me. If the flavoring is subtle, more of an enhancement then it might be interesting and even enjoyable.

When it comes to any kind of beverage, I don't care much for overpowered flavors. When a light touch is used, it can be quite nice though.
