Addictions

As crazy as it may seem I'm not that addicted to alcohol, I like drinking it and it makes me feel good but I wouldn't go crazy without it. That being said, I do have an addiction for food which I try to control but sometimes it just doesn't work. I guess it helps me cope when I feel anxious. :D What are yours?

Food addiction is the hardest addiction to kick because you can never fully let go of it. It's hard to moderate yourself, since you need food in order to live. I have a similar problem.

I am addicted to food, though I have cut back my eating habits a whole lot. I used to eat fast food on a day to day basis and now I can turn a blind eye. It took a lot of patience and determination to finally give in and start losing weight.

I am also addicted to pain killers, though I do not take them anymore. I cannot be prescribed any sort of opiate since I take full advantage of them. I never thought I'd become addicted to something so serious, but alas, I'm only human. I won't touch the stuff now.

Yeah, we need food in order to survive and that definitely doesn't help the addiction, but one thing I've been trying to do is eat healthier. Even though I eat like crap a lot of the time I try to drink water and eat salads from time to time to maintain a balance.

The problem of food addiction isn't so much the act of eating, after all we need to eat in order to survive. It's the sort of foods we eat. Fast food has a real problem, it's full of empty calories and your body needs the right amount of vitamins and minerals on a daily bases in order to function properly.
Since fast food doesn't have a lot of these vitamins and minerals our bodies will trigger our hunger mechanism in order to eat more to get them.
So even though we ate a short time ago we feel hungry. If you have a fully balanced diet it's much easier to coupe with food addiction since your body already has what it needs.

I don't suffer from any addictions to substances and I feel blessed for it. I enjoy drinking alco stuff but I certainly can live without it. I don't use it as a crutch either.

I used to eat fast food a lot and even considered it an addiction. Not anymore.

Eating healthier can definitely play a huge role in your food addiction. One of the things that helped me was an app called "My Fitness Pal." I lost nearly seventy pounds while using this app. I use it on a day to day basis and it helps me be conscious of whats being put into my body.

It's as simple as scanning the bar codes on what you eat. All of the nutrition facts and calories are put into the app and it gives you a great view of everything you're putting in.

I don't know that I have any addictions, per se.

I freely admit I enjoy good drinks. And the amount consumed is almost certainly over some of the published recommendations. But I don't drink to the point I get sick or it disrupts work, family, finance, being a decent citizen, etc. So, I'm comfortable with the level of said. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, but the life balance is still right for me, so meh.

Beyond that, I can't think of anything that would even come close to addictions. Maybe coffee, which I drink in large quantity in the morning. My hobbies are, relatively, modest. The rest of the time I'm too much of a square to even come close to something addicting. ;)

Yesterday I was offered some beer by my friend which I don't know the name of. I didn't like it. Moreover, it was warm and I freaking hate when the beer is warm.

But If I really was addicted to alcohol, I would have probably not been that picky :D

Oh, trust me, even the most addicted person to alcohol would reject warm beer, it has the worst taste in the world and I'd only drink it if it was a dead or alive situation. :D

I know people who are addicted to alcohol and it is a sad thing. They have destroyed relationships, homes, lost their jobs but yet they still drink. No matter how bad things get they still turn to alcohol. My addiction would also be food.

I had a minor problem with alcohol but it was just an escape for me. It was a troublesome period but now it's gone although I have a sleeping disorder and alcohol helps me fall asleep. There were times I could fall asleep only when tipsy. Right now I can say that I don't have any serious addictions expect coffee which is sometimes neglected as a real addiction but it is. it very much is. I can go without it but my mother cannot.

If I start to have some family and other personal problem then surely I do get into addiction mode. And to some extent I can manage it. But it's not easy though. I think drinking while being emotional often has it's price to pay. So we should be mindful while drinking. That part is harder to manage though.

If there is anything in this life in which I am completely addicted it's food. It's the only thing I don't mind spending money on.

I love food! :D

I am addicted to specific type of food. Take KFC for example. I am pretty much addicted to that type of non veg food. I also like continental type of dishes but I choose most of them very carefully.

I am addicted to soda. I want to remove that on my system but it is still there. The good thing that I can say now is I can limit my consumption to 1 can a day. Before I could consume 1.5 liters of that beverage in one sitting. I am still hoping I could remove that bad habit.

I remember drinking a lot of soda during my highschool years. We had different soda drinks at that time. As we had no ID to drink. So we had to rely on it. And we used to mix few drinks to avoid getting drunk. So yeah soda addiction leads to lever issues though.

Am only addicted to good foods which is a good thing though. I drink alcohol, makes me feel good but not addicted to it.
