Anyone Here Makes Their Own Booze??

Me and my dad make vodka at home from expired fruits. It's called "Tuica" or "Palinca" here in Romania and we usually make around 50-100L at the end of every summer.

No....I have never tried this before. But I'm sure that if provided with all the required paraphernalia my husband would love to do it.

I really wish that I could say that I knew more about this. It would put a nice dent in the spending, especially around this time of year when the weather gets nasty.

Well in terms of money yes, but it requires hard work.

I though about it but never did it. I don't think it would be worth it, probably wouldn't taste great.

I have thought this several times but I haven't tried it yet because there's part of me that I should no try it yet. Maybe when the right time comes.

I have actually made my own booze several times. I mostly do this when I'm expecting friends of mine to visit or distant family. During the family sit-downs I pop the 10 litre jerrican and fill everyone's mug( the adults that is). The first few times I tried were a disaster. The booze was intoxicating alright, but it was too bitter, even for alcohol. After watching several videos and getting tips from my friends, who are better than I am at this, I became well-equipped with the knowledge to make my own alcohol.

Could you please elaborate more on how long it took?

Haha. That's what I'm afraid of, investing money and time into something that's going to turn out bad to say the least.
