I guess those are fair points. I don't drink too much at bars because I want to get home in one piece, haha!I think the reason for this really is that they are cheaper. I think you would see people drinking whisky and wine at the pub if they were as affordable as beer. Also, since beer is lower in alcohol, most people probably feel more comfortable drinking it.
Well, beers are still expensive in pubs. The bar I frequent doesn't have that big of a price difference between whisky and beer. It's my go to drink if I go to a bar. It just seems like it's the sort of drink that suits everyone. Rich, poor, everyone likes a good beer.
Wow, where I'm from whiskey can be four times more expensive then beer. The whiskey or any other spirit is really over priced.Well, beers are still expensive in pubs. The bar I frequent doesn't have that big of a price difference between whisky and beer.![]()
In regards to driving home , it is crazy to risk getting a DUI. I think drinking more than a drink or two, at a bar is just asking for trouble. I think drinking at home, or somewhere where you don't have to drive, is just much safer and more sensible.
Yeah, I don't know where you're from but bars here in Romania are weird like that. I guess it depends on the brands as well.Wow, where I'm from whiskey can be four times more expensive then beer. The whiskey or any other spirit is really over priced.

This is true, everyone drinks in a different way, I associate wine to food while beer is the sort of drink I have when I go out or have a BBQ. Spirits I associate to special occasions.I think that every drink has it's place and crowd. I drink beer when I am happy, when I want to go and have fun and I'm in good spirit. ON the other hand, when I am moody, sad or just feeling blue I like to drink wine or some stronger spirit like whiskey. In bars, with friends, I usually take beer.
