Thе vеst thing tо light а сigаr pеrfесtly is with а 3 flаmе jеt lightеr.
Thе wаy yоu shоuld bе lighting yоur сigаr shоuld bе а slоw rituаl with thе lightеr bеing hеld
аt а 1 1/2 fingеr lеngth distаnсе. This is tо prеvеnt сhаrring аnd burning thе insidе оf thе сigаr whiсh tаints thе tаstе аnd аrоmа.

Yоu’d hаvе tо light it fаst. еvеn а сigаrеttе, whiсh yоu саn light muсh mоrе quiсkly, саn еаsily tаstе hоrrid frоm using а Zippо. With butаnе tоrсh lightеrs widеly аvаilаblе, I wоndеr hоw lоng thе Zippо hаs lеft. Thеrе is аnоthеr typе оf smоkеаblе stuff thаt I wоuld nеvеr, еvеr rесоmmеnd using а Zippо fоr nо mаttеr whаt. еwww.

Yes it's okay to light your Cigar with a Zippo, but since Zippo lighters have a softer flame it may take longer to toast and light your Cigar unless they are small Cigars. There are odorless lighter fluids for Zippos on the market so you will not get that odor working its way into the aroma of your Cigar.
 
You can, but the results may be imparting a funky, chemically taste to the smoke. For a cheap smoke just because, it might work. However, if you are going to sit down, relax, and enjoy a fine cigar, it is best to start the journey off right.
 
I like those old school zippo lighters, and you really do not see them around anymore. I am not sure why it would not be okay, and I say it would be classy.
 
I don't really know why it would make a difference if you light your cigar with a zippo or any other lighter. Really, if we are talking about which is healthier, then it would probably be not smoking at all.
 
Why wouldn't it be OK? I mean a lighter is a lighter as far as I am concerned. Zippo is one of the better brands..but anything that gets the job done, is fair game as far as I am concerned.
 
I guess if the experts say that it's not ok to light a cigar with Zippo, then I guess they are right, even if I doubt their opinion, since I'm just new to smoking cigars so I should take their word for it.

What's the difference between them and the other lighters, people should use what they like.
 
I imagine it might work better in some cases, at least better than a normal lighter. Maybe they are comparing it to those torch like lighters?
 
The only correct way is with a wooden match that has been lit long enough for the igniter to be burned away. Lighter fluid vapors taint the flavor of your tobacco. This is especially true when you're dealing with something that has a mild flavor, like Connecticuite tobacco. The whole point of a cigar is to taste good, so care needs to be taken to preserve that value.
