There’s a time and a place for day drinking. The time is generally the day. New York City has many great daytime bars out there. My personal picks are Sweet and Vicious located at Nolita. Their backyard is a good place to drink. Another one is Lavender Lake located in Gowanus. This is a great one but be careful because it gets crowded in the late afternoon. There too many to mention about the great bars out there you just have to explore.
 
This bar looks great in the daytime because you can do your laundry there, if you are visiting and wait for your clean clothes to dry-its located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Its called the "Sunshine Laundromat" and its kind of hidden away(speakeasy style),also it looks like a fun place to play some pinball and have a cheap mug of beer as well.
