Puni Comes To The UK
Puni – Italy’s first single malt whisky – will be making its official debut in the UK in 2017 with their three-year-old Alba and Nova whiskies.
Puni was born in 2010 in the Italian town of Glurns in the Vinschgau valley – a German-speaking area of the Italian Alps – and the distillery has two traditional copper pot stills imported from Rothes in Scotland, but uses pure alpine water, barley, wheat and locally-grown rye. The seasonal temperature variations in the Vinschgau valley allows Puni’s whiskies to mature quickly.
Puni Nova is bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and will be available for $75 per bottle while Puni Alba is also bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and will be available for $90 per bottle.
