Texas is a big state, but apparently there was not enough bourbon in it, so they had to bring some more in. Firestone and Robertson Distilling Company (as opposed to drilling company, get it?) has released TX Straight Bourbon.
TX Straight Bourbon has been aged 4.5 years, is bottled at 90 proof [45% alcohol by volume] and is connected to Texas by its claim to be the only whiskey in the world to use a wild Texas yeast strain [from a pecan nut tree, no less] and is produced exclusively with corn and wheat grains farmed in Texas [thereby thumbing its nose at the official bourbon definitions].
TX Straight Bourbon currently is only available in Texas.
