Suntory To Launch Hibiki Blender’s Choice

Mega-Japanese whisky-making company Suntory recently announced that the much-loved Hibiki 17-Year-Old would be discontinued in September 2018 but is trying to offset some of the whisky world’s angst by introducing a new Hibiki whisky which they are calling ‘Blender’s Choice’.

“Blender’s Choice” will be a no-age statement whisky blended with wine cask-aged whiskies and bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof].

Suntory has indicated that Hibiki 17-Year-Old may return in the future – but it will be not be in the near future – so we have “Blender’s Choice” for now.

Unfortunately, Hibiki “Blender’s Choice” will be a limited release and, therefore, only be available in Japan [at least initially] beginning in September 2018.
