Ardbeg Goes For The Gold [And Green] For The World Cup

Like nearly everyone else on the planet, the Ardbeg Distillery is getting excited for the upcoming World Cup and they have gone so far as to release a special limited edition Auriverdes single malt whisky in honor of the worldwide sporting event. Auriverdes [translating to “golden” and “green” – which just so happens to be the colors of Brazil, the host of the 2014 World Cup] was created in American oak casks with specially toasted cask lids producing a double whammy coffee/mocha and vanilla effect in addition to the multiple flavor notes of licorice, maple, smoked ham and white pepper.

The 49.9% alcohol content [100 proof] Auriverdes whisky is available from the Ardbeg Distillery site.
