Glen Scotia Celebrates Campbeltown Malts Festival With 10-Year-Old
Glen Scotia is celebrating the 2021 Glen Scotia Campbeltown Malts Festival with the release of a limited edition 10-year-old whisky.
The Glen Scotia 2021 Campbeltown Malts Festival Limited Edition was created from a series of unpeated distillations from 2009 to 2011, matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, finished in first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks for five months before finally being bottled at 56.1% alcohol by volume [112.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, rose and strawberry.
The annual Campbeltown Malts Festival celebrates the Campbeltown whisky-producing area – Scotland’s fifth and smallest whisky region – but, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 version of the festival will be hosted virtually on June 7, 2021.
The Glen Scotia 2021 Campbeltown Malts Festival Limited Edition is being made available for $70 per 700ml bottle.
