I didn't drink alcohol until I was 21 years old. I had a few sips of alcohol here and there in high school, but I never actually consumed alcohol with the intent of getting drunk. It wasn't until I was 21 that I had my first "real" drink and started to drink regularly. It's been four years since and now I'm drinking at least once or twice a week.
Damn, never thought such people do exist!
I was surprisingly a really good kid, ha ha. I stayed away from alcohol at first because I didn't want to try it, but then it became somewhat of a challenge for me to make it to twenty one. I wanted to be able to tell my mother that I waited to make it to the legal age. It sounds silly, but it was a nice way to keep my brain intact, ha ha.
Hah, that's a cool story. Sure, you're an awesome person!
We are a bit similar. I did a lot of sips in my pre-teens. However, I never wanted to go past that at that age. I even refused to drink for my prom night while many got shitfaced as drunk as hell. I did my first full bottle after turning 18. The second one came probably at 18 and a half
Now I'm almost 22. I can drink legally and I don't mind having something to drink with my buddies. I'm totally cool with that. At the same time, it's more of an axillary thing to me. I can party pretty hard while being sober, completely.
I was in the same boat. Not drinking in my teens played a huge role in me not drinking as much today. I used to see my friends and family drink regularly and it just didn't look like fun. They seemed happy, but the next day they were full of regrets. Alcohol makes you act like an idiot if you let it go too far. I never want to be on that level...ever.
I am now 25 years old and I probably drink once every two or three months. -_-
