Hilhaven Whisky On Hold While Lawsuits Flung About
Hilhaven Whisky, an intended high-end whisky from spirits giant Diageo and Hollywood producer Brett Ratner, is temporarily on hold while the pair fend off a lawsuit from Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky which claims that the impending whisky will be confused with its low-end bourbon.
Hilhaven is named after the Beverly Hills residence Ratner owns called Hilhaven Lodge which was once owned in the 1940s by Ingrid Bergman and the site of wild celebrity-laden, drug-fueled Hollywood parties in the 1970s when it was owned by flamboyant “Grease” producer Allan Carr.
