The GlenDronach Releases Peated Port Wood
The GlenDronach Distillery has released their GlenDronach Peated Port Wood whisky – said to be made in the so-called ‘old style’, from malted barley dried with Highland peat.
The GlenDronach Peated Port Wood was finished in port pipes from the Douro Valley in Portugal and has been bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof].
The GlenDronach Peated Port Wood is said to contain notes of – not surprisingly – wood smoke and smoldering charcoal, with some hints of wild strawberries and cinnamon sugar.
