Tomintoul Reveals 45-Year-Old

Tomintoul has unveiled Tomintoul Vintage 1973 – a 45-Year-Old double wood-matured single malt Scotch whisky – but you will need to be lucky to get one of the bottles and you will need plenty of money in your bank account.

Tomintoul Vintage 1973 was aged for more than 30 of the 45 years in white oak American casks before being matured for the final years in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 44.5% alcohol by volume [89 proof]. Tomintoul Vintage 1973 is said to contain notes of chocolate, coffee and orange.

Only 218 bottles of Tomintoul Vintage 1973 will be made available in select European and Asian markets for $2625 per bottle.
