Loch Lomond Unveils Five Whiskies For Their Exclusive Casks
Highland distiller Loch Lomond has released five whiskies for their Exclusive Casks series. As the official spirit sponsor of the European Tour, each whisky in the Loch Lomond Exclusive Casks range celebrates one of the five venues that will host the six-week-long European Tour’s UK portion of the tournament.
The whiskies have each been finished in a different style of oak cask.
The Loch Lomond Hero Open Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% alcohol by volume – 115.4 proof) celebrates the event at the Forest of Arden and was finished in a Sauternes wine cask.
The English Championship Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% alcohol by volume – 115.4 proof) celebrates the event at Hanbury Manor and was finished in a rum barrel.
The Betfred British Masters (57.4% alcohol by volume – 114.8 proof) celebrates the Close House event and was aged in a first-fill Limousin oak cask.
The Wales Open and Celtic Classic Exclusive Single Cask (58.2% alcohol by volume – 116.4 proof) celebrates the Celtic Manor event and was matured in an Oloroso sherry cask.
The UK Championship Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% alcohol by volume – 115.4 proof) celebrates the event at The Belfry and was aged in a Tawny Port cask.
More than 1,700 bottles of the Loch Lomond Exclusive Cask series will be made available – with the number of bottles for each expression varying – in the UK and Europe for $115 per bottle.
