Chivas Debuts Quartet Of Whiskies For Travel Retail Venues
Chivas Brothers has released a quartet of whiskies – a trio of new Aberlour single malts and an 18-year-old Chivas Regal blend aged in Pauillac wine casks – all destine for global travel retail venues.
The new Aberlour range for global travel retail venues consists of a 13-year-old, and a 16-year-old Double Charred Selection and a non-age statement whisky called Suthainn.
Aberlour 13-year-old is matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry oak casks, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to impart notes of apple, butterscotch and cinnamon and is being made available for $90 per bottle.
Aberlour 16-year-old Double Charred Selection was finished in extra-charred American oak casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to impart notes of banana, coconut and cinnamon and is being made available for $155 per bottle.
Aberlour Suthainn was matured in European sherry hogshead casks, bottled at 48% alcohol by volume [96 proof] and is said to impart notes of spice and is being made available for $110 per bottle.
The trio will be available to travel retail customers at UK airports and Delhi Airport in India before being extended to selected duty free stores worldwide in April 2025.
The fourth whisky being made available in global travel retail venues by Chivas Brothers is 18-year-old Chivas Regal blended Scotch whisky in its Ultimate Cask Collection, which was finished in French Pauillac wine casks.
Chivas Regal 18-year-old Ultimate Cask Collection, Pauillac Cask Finish was bottled at 48% alcohol by volume [96 proof] and is said to impart notes of blackcurrant, lemon curd and vanilla.
Chivas Regal 18 Year Old Pauillac Ultimate Cask Finish is being made available in duty free locations in Asia, India, UAE, the UK and the Americas with prices varying across those markets.
