Kavalan Reveals 15 Year Old
Taiwanese distillery Kavalan has released their first-ever single malt whisky with an age statement – the limited edition Kavalan 15-Year-Old 2025 Edition – which is unveiled as part of the distillery’s Time Exploration series that marks the moment when Kavalan and Taiwan began whisky production on March 11, 2006.
Kavalan 15-Year-Old 2025 Edition was matured in a quartet of casks – consisting of ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, Ruby Port and a puncheon – before being bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to impart notes of grapefruit, lemon, orange, plum and raisins.
Only 30,000 bottles of Kavalan 15-Year-Old 2025 Edition are being made available worldwide with the first bottles being made available in Taiwan.
