Glengoyne Travels Across The Pond
Glengoyne Distillery has traveled across the pond and released a pair of Scotch whiskies – Glengoyne White Oak and Glengoyne 24-Year-Old – to debut their White Oak range in the USA. Glengoyne means ‘valley of the geese’ – many of whom spend their winters behind the distillery and migrate to North America each summer.
Glengoyne White Oak was matured in both American first-fill ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks, bottled at 47.8% alcohol by volume [95.6 proof] and is said to impart notes of crème brûlée, ginger, and lemon. Glengoyne White Oak is being made available for $60 per bottle.
Glengoyne 24-Year-Old was matured in American first-fill ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks, bottled at 47.8% alcohol by volume [95.6 proof] and is said to impart notes of chocolate, coconut and vanilla. Glengoyne 24-Year-Old is being made available for $400 per bottle.
