Tamnavulin Reveals 25-Year-Old

Speyside-based Tamnavulin Distillery has released a 25-year-old single malt whisky to celebrate their 60th anniversary this year after the distillery was closed in 1995 but revived in 2007.

The Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Moscatel Cask 60th Anniversary Edition was matured for the first 20 of those years in American oak barrels before moving on to a single Moscatel cask for the final five years, then being bottled at cask strength of 51.8% alcohol by volume [103.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of clove, orange and pear.

Only 290 bottles of Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Moscatel Cask 60th Anniversary Edition are being made available for $355 per bottle throughout the UK.
