Lochranza Debuts 30-Year-Old And Revives 14-Year-Old
Isle of Arran Distillers’ Lochranza Distillery has released a 30-year-old and revived a 14-year-old single malt whisky – six years after its discontinuation during a 2019 rebranding – albeit with a ‘slightly adjusted’ recipe.
Lochranza debuted a 30-year-old whisky – the oldest age-statement in its core range – originating from selected Sherry hogshead-matured whiskies from the distillery’s cache, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of cinnamon, orange and star anise.
Lochranza’s 14-year-old was matured in ex-bourbon barrels along with Palo Cortado Sherry casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, mandarin and toffee.
Arran 14 Year Old is being made available for $95 per bottle while Arran 30 Year Old is being made available for priced $935 per bottle.
