Aberfeldy Reveals Malbec-Finished 21 Year Old
Highland distillery Aberfeldy has revealed a 21-year-old single malt whisky finished in Malbec wine casks from Argentinian winery Finca Ambrosia.
Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Malbec Cask Finish was initially matured in a combination of sherry hogsheads and refill bourbon barrels before being finished for eight months in Finca Ambrosia Malbec casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to offer notes of blackcurrant, cinnamon, honey, rosemary, sage, strawberry and vanilla.
Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Malbec Cask Finish is being made available for $280 per bottle in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK and the USA.
