Ballantine’s Releases 40-Year-Old Series
Ballantine’s Scotch whisky has released a new array of 40-year-old whiskies called The Masterclass Collection to celebrate the brand’s master blenders.
The Masterclass Collection will consist of a series of five annual releases of Ballantine’s 40 Year Old whisky, with only 108 bottles of the first whisky blend in the series – The Remembering – being produced in celebration of Ballantine’s master blenders Jack Goudy and Sandy Hyslop.
Ballantine’s The Remembering is a blend which has spent 40 years maturing in American oak casks and offers notes of apple, clove and toffee.
Only 27 of the 108 bottles of Ballantine’s The Remembering will be made available in global travel retail venues and the fifth and final bottling of the collection is currently scheduled to be released in 2027 to coincide with the brand’s 200th anniversary.
