London-based Bimber Distillery has released their Spirit of the Underground – a collection of single malts celebrating the famed underground passenger railway system in the city – with each bottle in the new collection featuring four stations [Baker Street, Kings Street St. Pancras, Oxford Circus and Waterloo] on the 270-station London Underground network.
Bimber’s four London Underground whiskies have been selected from ex-bourbon casks at full cask strength, fermented for a week in American oak washbacks, then bottled between 58.1% and 58.8% alcohol by volume [116.2-117.6 proof] said to produce notes of fruit.
Only 260 bottles of each Bimber Spirit of the Underground single malt whisky are being made available for $175 per 700ml bottle.
