Compass Box Picks Fruit-Forward Malt Whisky
London-based bottler Compass Box has released a fruit-forward malt whisky – Orchard House – (46% ABV) as part of their Malt Whisky Collection.
Compass Box Orchard House is a blend of whiskies from distilleries known for their fruit-forward flavors which was then aged in a trio of casks – water-rinsed first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry-seasoned butts and French oak custom barrels – before being bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of multiple fruits including apple, banana, peach, pear, peach, pineapple and strawberry.
Compass Box Orchard House malt whisky is being offered at $55 per bottle in the UK in September 2021 via Compass Box’s website.
