Cotswolds Goes High With Highgrove Evergreen
England-based Cotswolds Distillery has released Highgrove Evergreen – a single malt using Plumage Archer barley sourced from King Charles III’s Highgrove Estate.
Cotswolds Distillery Highgrove Evergreen was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and STR (shaved, toasted, re-charred) red wine casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to exude notes of orchard fruit, honeyed malt, red berries and spice.
Additionally, Cotswolds Distillery Highgrove Evergreen is presented in a gift box featuring an illustration painted by King Charles III, titled A View from the Wildflower Meadow – a reproduction of an original watercolor created in 1995.
Cotswolds Distillery Highgrove Evergreen English Whisky is being made available for $130 per bottle and profits from the whisky’s sales will support The King’s Foundation.
