on

Speyside distillery Craigellachie has released a new 13-year-old single malt whisky finished in an Armagnac cask as the inaugural Scotch in their newly-formed Cask Collection which showcases spirits produced using coil condensers, an old method of condensing liquid.

Craigellachie 13 Years Old Armagnac Cask Finish was matured in a combination of refill and re-charred bourbon barrels, finished with a year of secondary maturation in Bas-Armagnac casks from Gascony in France, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of baked apples, caramel, cinnamon and pineapple.

Craigellachie 13 Years Old Armagnac Cask Finish is being made available for $65 per bottle immediately in France, Germany and the UK – and Taiwan and the USA later in 2022.
